The Reality Of Sufism In Light Of The Qur’aan And Sunnah

The Reality Of Sufism In Light Of The Qur’aan And Sunnah

Shaykh Muhammed ibn Rabee’ al-Madkhalee | Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 29 | Size: 1.5 MB
You must be aware that there are a number of destructive calls which have been established amongst the ranks of the Muslims and which have shaken and damaged the beliefs held in their hearts. They have polluted the pure Islamic ‘aqeedah, and have grown by stages to reach such a dangerous level that they have led to the splitting of the Muslims into sects and parties, about which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Indeed those who were before you, from the People of the Book, split into seventy-two sects, and this religion will split into seventy-three. Seventy-two in the Fire and one in Paradise, and it is the Jamaa’ah… Then there is no doubt that each one of these sects claims for itself that it is the saved sect, and that it is correct, and that it alone follows the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). But the way of truth is a single way and it is the one which leads to salvation, and any other way is one of the ways of misguidance which leads to destruction.

So the way of truth is to cling to the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah of Allaah’s Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) as occurs in the hadeeth: I have left amongst you two things with which you will not go astray: The Book of Allaah and my Sunnah, and they will not be separated till they come to me at the Pond.”

A must read for all Muslims. This book explains the origins of the Sufi movement and its various doctrines. Most people associate Sufism with haunting mystical music, breath-taking poetry, and liberal attitudes. This book actually explains the fundamental doctrines and beliefs of the Sufis which the average Muslim is clueless about. Most importantly it helps us understand how some tenets of Sufism might violate the injunction against shirk.

The Religion Of Ibrahim

The Religion Of Ibrahim

Abu Muhammad Aasim al-Maqdisi | Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 267 | Size: 2 MB
We present to the English reader, Millat Ibrāhīm, by the noble Shaykh, Abu Muhammad Al-Maqdisī, may Allāh preserve him. This particular treatise has been an influential and significant book with many of the contemporary Islāmic groups intent upon forming an Islāmic state. Herein, the author draws several parallels between the form of idolatry in the time of the Messenger of Allāh (PBUH) and that which the apostate regimes have instituted from fabricated laws and methodologies of falsehood in the lands of the Muslims, which are the main obstacles to the formation of such a state.

Shaykh Abu Muhammad al-Maqdisi. born 1378 A.H. (1959 A.D.) in the province of Nablus, Palestine,At a young age his family emigrated to Kuwait. He later studied at the University of Mosul in Iraq. He began to travel around Kuwait and Saudi Arabia in order to visit the numerous religious students and sheikhs. He than began to study the writings of Sheikh ul-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah and Imam Ibnul Qayyim. While in Medinah he read the writings of Imam Muhammad ibn Abd al Wahhab and was strongly influenced by them. Maqdisi travelled to Pakistan and Afghanistan and met many of the mujahid groups there at the time. In 1992 he returned to Jordan. He began to denounce the Jordanian government and the man-made laws that were being implemented there. His teachings gained many adherents and this earned him the attention of the government, and he was arrested and imprisoned. During the years 1995-1999. He was later released and stayed in Jordan, where he was later rearrested on terrorism charges for conspiring to attack American targets in Jordan. He was released again in July 2005, but arrested again after he gave an interview to al Jazeera. He was released again in 2008.

Defence Of The Muslim Lands

Defence Of The Muslim Lands

Shaykh Abdullah Azzam | Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 55 | Size: 1 MB
‘Defence of the Muslim Lands’ has become a classical Islamic text studying the legal implications of when and under what conditions Jihad is permitted under the Shariah. Dr. Abdullah Azzam discusses many critical questions relating to the types of Jihad, the conditions under which Jihad becomes an obligation upon all Muslims, parents permission, fighting in the absence of the Islamic State and peace treaties with the enemy. This new edition contains over 150 footnotes and a ’scholars base’ which give brief details of each of the fifty or so scholars mentioned in the text.

Time Magazine described Shaykh Abdullah Azzam as the man who wasthe ‘ reviver of Jihad in the 20th Century’. Abdullah Yusuf Azzam was born in the village of Ass-ba’ah Al-Hartiyeh, province of Jineen in the occupied sacred land of Palestine in 1941 CE. He was brought up in a humble house where he was taught Islam, and was fed with the love of Allah, His Messenger (saw), those striving in the Way of Allah, the righteous people and the desire for the Hereafter. Sheikh Abdullah Azzam was one of the first Arabs to join the Afghan Jihad against the communist USSRIn 1979, when he learned about the Afghan Jihad, he left his teaching position at King Abdul-Aziz University in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and went to Islamabad, Pakistan, in order to be able to participate in the Jihad. He was a fine example of Islamic manners, in his piety, his devotion to Allah and his modesty in all things. He would never adulate in his relations with others. Shaykh Azzam always listened to the youth, he was dignified and did not allow fear to have access to his brave heart. He practised continual fasting especially the alternate daily fasting routine of Prophet Dawud (as). He strongly counselled others to practice fasting on Mondays and Thursdays. The Shaykh was a man of uprightness, honesty and virtue, and was never heard to slander others or to talk unpleaasently about an individual Muslim. On 24 November 1989. The enemies of Allah planted three bombs on a road so narrow only a single car could travel on it. It was the road Shaykh Abdullah Azzam would use to drive to the Friday Prayer. That Friday, the Shaykh together with two of his own sons, Ibrahim and Muhammad, and with one of the sons of the late Shaykh Tameem Adnani drove along the road. The car stopped at the position of the first bomb, and the Sheikh alighted to walk the remainder of the way. The enemies, lying in wait, then exploded the bomb. A loud explosion and a great thundering were heard all over the city. People emerged from the mosque, and beheld a terrible scene. Only a small fragment of the car remained. The young son Ibrahim flew 100 metres into the air; the other two youths were thrown a similar distance away, and their remains were scattered among the trees and power lines. As for Shaykh Abdullah Azzam himself, his body was found resting against a wall, totally intact and not at all disfigured, except that some blood was seen issuing from his mouth. Sheikh Abdullah Azzam himself once said, ” Indeed Islamic history is not written except with the blood of the Shuhadaa’, except with the stories of the Shuhadaa’ and except with the examples of the Shuhadaa’. ” May Allah (swt) accept him amongst them.

The Description Of The Prophet’s Prayer

The Description Of The Prophet’s Prayer

Abdullaziz Bin Abdullah Bin Baz | Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 25 | Size: 1 MB
The Description Of The Prophet’s Prayer: This is a brief booklet which describes the Prophet’s prayer and is presented to all Muslims so that they may strive hard to imitate him when performing their Prayers, for he (Peace be upon him) said: “Perform your Prayers as you have seen me performing them” (Reported by Sahih Al Bukhari)

The benefits of the congregational prayer are very clear, and among the most obvious are that people meet and get to know one another, help each other to enjoin good and forbid evil, encourage those who neglect its performance at the correct times, teach the illiterate religious knowledge, enrage the hypocrites, express the rituals of Islam between people, call people to the religion of Allah, as well as many other benefits.
